MAYOR
Francesco Ribaudo
The mayor, elected according to his or her political plans, is the result of the will of the sovereign people. The mayor represents the local authority and vouches for the respect of the laws, of the statute and of the regulations. He or she is a government officer and represents the State and its authority on the town territory. The mayor supervises and co-ordinates the municipal political and administrative activities. He or she superintends the right operation of the public offices and services. Every six months he or she makes a written report to the town council about the carrying out of his or her plans and about the activities already carried on.

The mayor presides over the town board, which is formed by six councillors, who have the task of administering the municipality. The town board sets up the regulations schemes and the planning acts, developing the instructions and the trends of the town council; it makes proposals to the town council, which so can express its judgements and its policy line about the public services. It prepares the outline of the budget and the programmatic report, the planning for the public works, the explanatory statement of the final account; it makes purchases, alienations and gives subsidies, indemnity and
